Overview
Finance helps you track accounts, transactions, budgets, goals, recurring bills, warranty records, and trip expenses. This policy explains what information the app stores and how it is used.
Information You Add
You can enter accounts, transactions, categories, budgets, goals, recurring rules, exchange rates, warranty records, and trip details into the app.
This information is used to provide app functionality such as tracking balances, calculating budgets and net worth, organizing spending, tracking warranty coverage, and showing reminders.
Local Storage
Finance is designed as a local-first app. Your financial data, attachments, warranty records, and app settings are stored on your device unless you enable iCloud Sync.
iCloud Sync
If you enable iCloud Sync, Finance uses Apple's iCloud services to keep supported app data synchronized across your Apple devices. That data is associated with your Apple ID and is handled by Apple under Apple's terms and privacy policies. Finance does not operate its own account or cloud-storage service for this data.
The app lock setting and biometric authentication are handled entirely by your device and remain local — they are never synced or sent anywhere.
Photos and Attachments
You may optionally attach receipts or other photos to transactions and warranty records. These attachments are used only for app functionality and are stored with your app data according to your selected storage and sync settings.
Warranty Records
Warranty records you create may include details such as purchase date, serial number, and notes. This information is used only to help you track coverage and is stored the same way as the rest of your app data.
Location
If you turn on "Remember trip places," Finance asks for location permission to save the place a trip expense happened. Locations are stored with your trip data and are used only for that purpose.
Notifications
Finance uses notification permission to remind you about recurring items, card payments, and logging transactions. Notifications are used for app functionality and are not used for advertising or tracking.
Assistant
Finance's Assistant feature uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models framework (Apple Intelligence) to turn messages you type into draft transactions. Processing happens on your device through Apple's system frameworks — Finance does not send your Assistant prompts to its own server.
Export, Import & Backup
Finance lets you export transactions to CSV and create or restore full backups of your data. These files are handed to the system share sheet or file picker so you choose where they go — Finance does not send them anywhere on its own.
No Ads, No Third-Party Analytics
Finance does not show ads and does not use third-party analytics or crash-reporting services. Finance does not sell your personal or financial data and does not share it with third parties for advertising or tracking.
Your Data and Deletion
You can erase app data from Finance's settings. This removes data stored by the app on the device and, where iCloud Sync is enabled, may also synchronize deletions through iCloud. You can manage Finance's access to iCloud through your Apple device settings.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
